Wicker Pharmacy was formed in 1951 (as Associated Chemists (Wicker) Ltd) to provide the people of Sheffield with a first class extended hours pharmacy service. The pharmacy opened on the 27th January 1952 and has been open every day since.
The pharmacy relocated to new premises (next door) in 2004, turning an old bank into a state of the art pharmacy complete with robotic dispenser. The pharmacy has won a number of awards including Community Pharmacist of the Year, Pharmacy Technician of the Year, the Pharmacy Platinum Design Award and the company’s Managing Director – Martin Bennett – was awarded an MBE in 2010 for services to pharmacy. The pharmacy continues to be owned by Sheffield Pharmacists and employees of the organisation via an employee ownership trust and has become a well known city landmark.
We offer a complete range of NHS and non-NHS services, including an electronic repeat prescription service and a travel vaccination service.
